Fan Railer Posted November 18, 2016 Share #3276 Posted November 18, 2016 Actually, they gotta do that system-wide clearance testing first before the 30 day. But otherwise, you're basically right.
GojiMet86 Posted November 18, 2016 Share #3277 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) Car assignments are already confirmed, TA employees have confirmed 32s going to the B and 32s going to the G from the J/Z. 179s will go there, to the A, and to the C. Someone on FB is gonna have a lot to talk about. Even if it doesn't happen. Edited November 18, 2016 by GojiMet86

Tech And Transit Posted November 19, 2016 Share #3279 Posted November 19, 2016 Re-uploaded the video because I uploaded the version without the pics of 3015's trucks. The other link is no longer active.
Cait Sith Posted November 19, 2016 Share #3280 Posted November 19, 2016 Spotted 3010-3014 just a few minutes ago heading Northbound at 23rd Street. The R46 set that they use with it during its testing was right behind it. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

<6>PelhamExp Posted November 19, 2016 Share #3283 Posted November 19, 2016 I wonder if the R179 will buck the way the Bombardier R142's on the and do?
RailRunRob Posted November 19, 2016 Share #3284 Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) I wonder if the R179 will buck the way the Bombardier R142's on the and do? I think the R142a's buck more especially in rainy conditions. But rarely do I ever see car consists buck unless there's some propulsion issues dead motor, rheostatic/dynamic problems and as a said before slippage. Passenger comfort is paramount from a person what's worked at a manufacturer they take it seriously. R32 3838 Posted November 19, 2016 Share #3285 Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) Car assignments are already confirmed, TA employees have confirmed 32s going to the B and 32s going to the G from the J/Z. 179s will go there, to the A, and to the C. from what i heard they're are supposed to go to the during the shutdown but thats still a rumor. But as for the until the Montague tube issue is fixed the R32's are still banned from the until further notice. Cait Sith Posted November 19, 2016 Share #3287 Posted November 19, 2016 I wonder if the R179 will buck the way the Bombardier R142's on the and do?Those don't buck as much as the R142As. The R188s are also starting to develop bucking issues. The R142s are far better than the Kawasaki cars. Speaking of which, does anyone know if/when it will be down here on lower 4th Avenue?

Dj Hammers Posted November 20, 2016 Share #3295 Posted November 20, 2016 It was interesting to see the R179s out on the Queens Boulevard line. Highly unlikely they'll run up here in service.

R10 2952 Posted November 21, 2016 Share #3300 Posted November 21, 2016 Does this mean the R42s will be displaced onto other lines from the (J)/(Z)?
