Acela Express Posted October 3, 2013 Share #527 Posted October 3, 2013 I saw that the St. Johns station is coming along. Also saw a NIS artic operating up Rogers Ave........... Any northbound B44s who are severely behind schedule and told to use Rogers Avenue to put themselves in place (NIS of course); that's the only time they're on Rogers Avenue. Trainmaster5 Posted October 4, 2013 Share #531 Posted October 4, 2013 I just wonder if these machines won't be vandalized... I'm sitting here thinking the same thing. This is NYC after all where ATMs turn up missing from time to time. Where I've personally seen two red light cameras vandalized. Just give it time. I'm wondering about it because there have been a lot of complaints about machines not working, but in my experiences with the M15SBS, I've been relatively lucky. I've used it Downtown and there was a problem with one machine, but the other one worked. In Midtown I've never had a problem so I guess we'll wait and see. B35 via Church Posted October 5, 2013 Share #535 Posted October 5, 2013 I just wonder if these machines won't be vandalized... Day late & a dollar short with this one.... This was a concern before SBS started on the Bx12... How long has it's been since this BS SBS started..... (yeah, I'm calling SBS service, BS) I'm wondering about it because there have been a lot of complaints about machines not working, but in my experiences with the M15SBS, I've been relatively lucky. I've used it Downtown and there was a problem with one machine, but the other one worked. In Midtown I've never had a problem so I guess we'll wait and see. I tend to snicker whenever I pass by a SBS TVM OOS... What's to be expected any different when you have the MVM's in the subway that acts up as much as they have.... Sick of seeing so many machines with the touchscreen all fu**ed up, or the bills option for payment negated (no bills).... The only serious complaint I've heard is the machines running out of ticket paper. Wait til SBS starts running in Queens & you'll be hearing more serious complaints than running out of paper.... Some Bronxites will tell you firsthand that that's the least of their problems dealing with those things....

NYSubwayBuff Posted October 5, 2013 Share #537 Posted October 5, 2013 Question:will the subway lines tht pass by the B44 SBS get automated announced saying something like "transfer is available to B44 SBS, like they did on 34th and other SBS locations
Mysterious2train Posted October 5, 2013 Share #538 Posted October 5, 2013 Yes. The only question here is of how long it will take for the R142s and R160s to get updated (Although the R142s had the Bx41 SBS announcement right from the start). That's why my LIRR ticket purchases at Penn Station , Atlantic Terminal, or Jamaica are always transactions with a human being. If I want to take a chance with my ducats I'll go to a casino first. If I want to take a chance with my ducats I'll go to a casino first. That's the best way, the few time that I actually rode LIRR, I did the same thing because when it comes to purchases people are more reliable than machines

Wait until you find a machine that says Limited Service. Won't spit out much and it won't tell you what either.
