trainfan22 Posted April 8, 2019 Share #26554 Posted April 8, 2019 I love days like today when the bus driver has the side windows open and the vents popped up.. no annoying havc noise and a nice breeze blows though the bus.
Calvin Posted April 8, 2019 Share #26555 Posted April 8, 2019 Busfest is moved early this year, on June instead of October.

Nah, it's common for drivers to do this this time of year and in the fall. Also, this was an brand new XD40 out of Quill so it's highly unlikely the havc wasn't working.
Lil 57 Posted April 10, 2019 Share #26559 Posted April 10, 2019 According to BusTime, an S94 LTD trip left the ferry at 7 PM tonight, the 6:45 PM wasn't late and came on time, so I'm assuming that this is an extra trip since no S94 buses are scheduled between 6:45 PM and 9 PM.

I noticed that a few days ago too. Maybe there is scheduled 7:00pm trip and it just wasn’t added to the schedule. MHV9218 Posted April 11, 2019 Share #26563 Posted April 11, 2019 Cracks me up that these idiots rush to scrap the functional RTS fleet and now there's shortage that requires loans across the borough...oops.

Calvin Posted April 11, 2019 Share #26565 Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) The amount of RTS being retired quickly is like a majority of sub sandwiches being tossed to the trash b/c it's not freshly made what they wanted to be. If you want to get creative in this situation NG’s to Ulmer Park (but I know in this reality it won’t happen but it could lessen their shortage). Let them keep borrowing from East New York. Also, are they (UP) due some more XD40’s?

Brillant93 Posted April 11, 2019 Share #26571 Posted April 11, 2019 They should have finished scrapping those RTS by summer when people weren’t traveling as much. But hey I guess the LFS order is being expedited now.

Orion6025 Posted April 11, 2019 Share #26573 Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) QV finally started making (some of) their 2019 LFS trackable (aside from 8511 which was the only trackable one for a while).. Hopefully we'll start seeing more images as people start hunting them down on bustime... Edited April 11, 2019 by Orion6025 clarification on 8511

Before BusTime was a thing, it was a type of accomplishment to find a brand new bus out of the blue without the assist of trackers and such. It was a good feeling to be able to do that. Nowadays, fans rely on trackers waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much, which is both lazy and sad in my opinion. Folks can make up the excuse of "omg I don't wanna stay out there all day" or similar types of excuses, but the fact is, trackers kinda killed fanning in my opinion. The spontaneity of it all is gone.
MysteriousBtrain Posted April 11, 2019 Share #26575 Posted April 11, 2019 I usually go by the message of "the more that come, the more likely you will find it". Things also work out better if you know a routes pattern and how much buses a certain route runs as well.
