I've seen buses from each NYCT depot in Queens on routes that are not theirs. I've seen 6480 on the Q17, I've seen LFS's and RTS's from QV on JA routes and the same from JA on QV routes. Orion VII's from CS mostly NG's on JA and QV routes. So to me it seems like they are all helping one another.

When Mantthanville, JFK, CS, LGA got NGs for the first time, they always had training buses prior to their batch of NGs arriving at the depot...

Baisley Park was trained on NGs too... They had the demo buses

MTA Bus said this in 2010

" When the NGs first arrived, Baisley Park tested 3 demo units: 1292, 1294, and 1295 "

So explain QV loaning LFS' to CS...

The LFSAs are essentially the same thing, just a longer variant.

Aren't they pretty much similar to Orion VII NG's?

Similar, but they don't operate exactly the same. Especially with the QV units since those are particularly different from every other hybrid batch. The closest you can compare is the EN, MV and CS 67-6800s.

Saw 5656 (the Frankenstein bus) on the Bx22 this morning with the Westfarms stickers still on it. Don't know if it's a permanent move or not. I'll check the computer when I get to work...

It's on loan to gunhill... since when is gunhill short on buses?
