Kingsbridgeviewer382 Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19752 Posted February 9, 2017 Can't find it on Bustime. Anybody know it's location now?4973 is on the 12 local reaching Fordham. There were a few on the 12 SBS earlier this morning, but they're most likely out of service now.
paulrivera Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19753 Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) Can't find it on Bustime. Anybody know it's location now? I don't see any on the SBS either, but there's one on the local 12 going down Fordham heading towards Pelham Bay as I type. Unless it's really an SBS short-turn... But it's definitely out and about. Calvin Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19757 Posted February 9, 2017 I wonder how the M15 SBS is able to use articulated buses out in the snow while the other routes don't
paulrivera Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19758 Posted February 9, 2017 I wonder how the M15 SBS is able to use articulated buses out in the snow while the other routes don't The M15 route is flat. Then again so is the M34's route and 2 artics jackknifed along that route this morning, so who knows what kind of logic they use.... Oh, and there's an RTS on the SBS 12 again.
Train92 Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19759 Posted February 9, 2017 Froze my Behind off to see them all (I saw 7714, 6860, 7679, 7644 and 7795)
DaTransitMan4608 Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19760 Posted February 9, 2017 There's still artics on the M15 SBS.
Cait Sith Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19761 Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) The M15 is more or less just a straight line until it reaches the lower quarter of the route(South of Houston). The line only has 1 or 2 small inclines in both directions compared to the M101/102/103(Lex/103rd being one major incline and is prone to get artic buses stuck). paulrivera Posted February 9, 2017 Share #19762 Posted February 9, 2017 Y'all want to see something that'll probably never happen again? There's an RTS on the Bx26 about to leave Bedford Park. My goodness, that takes the cake for sure.
agar io Posted February 10, 2017 Share #19763 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) On a totally unrelated note... Do any of the routes' schedules, besides the SBS routes, limited routes, and the M35, actually show the stops along the line? AFAIK the M35 is the only local bus route that shows every single stop on its schedule. Edited February 10, 2017 by agar io

checkmatechamp13 Posted February 11, 2017 Share #19767 Posted February 11, 2017 Apps that use the MTA's metadata, like Transit or Google Maps show every stop along bus routes. I think he's referring to the map on the last page of the schedule (not the timepoints). The M35 schedule (meaning, pages 3-6 of this PDF) only shows 125th/Lex, Randall's Island, and then the time it finishes its run back to 125th/Lex. Yeah, I can't think of any others off the top of my head.
IAlam Posted February 11, 2017 Share #19768 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) I was on 5987 (CS's XD60) yesterday, and when the bus pulled into the stop at John Bowne, the back wheel slide 2-3 feet towards the curb. But apparently no one on the bus noticed nor cared except for me. Edited February 11, 2017 by IAlam

Jdog14 Posted February 12, 2017 Share #19771 Posted February 12, 2017 Is there a free transfer from an express bus to a local bus? There is but that doesn't apply if you took a local bus to the express.
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted February 12, 2017 Share #19772 Posted February 12, 2017 There is but that doesn't apply if you took a local bus to the express. That's because of theq step-up fare.
checkmatechamp13 Posted February 12, 2017 Share #19773 Posted February 12, 2017 There is but that doesn't apply if you took a local bus to the express. You get charged the difference between the local/express bus fare (So the farebox reads "XFER OK", $3.75 PAID")

pranavbhat924 Posted February 13, 2017 Share #19775 Posted February 13, 2017 On the MTA website, theres a typo saying that: "Q55 and Q88 buses are running with delays westbound, due to traffic condition on the LIE Service Rd from 108 St to College Point Blvd and Grand Central Pkwy interchange. Allow additional travel time." It should say Q58. Kind of wierd...
